The Grand Mosque (or Great Mosque) is one of the masterpieces of Ottoman architecture and is considered as one of the five most important sanctuaries of the Islamic world (Harem-i Şerif) and is also the biggest and most glorious building in Bursa. The Mosque, which is near the Caravanserai area on the way of Atatürk Avenue is the most influential building of its time, both from the viewpoint of the workmanship and the architecture. It is the fourth mosque built by Ottoman Sultans in Bursa Province.
